    • Microsoft .NET Framework

    • Microsoft Dot Net Framework
      • Microsoft .NET Framework is a software framework developed by Microsoft that runs primarily on Microsoft Windows. It includes a large class library known as Framework Class Library (FCL) and provides language interoperability (each language can use code written in other languages) across several programming languages. Programs written for .NET Framework execute in a software environment (as contrasted to hardware environment), known as Common Language Runtime (CLR), an application virtual machine that provides services such as security, memory management, and exception handling. FCL and CLR together constitute .NET Framework.
      • Digen's solutions development team utilise Microsoft .NET Framework when creating bespoke applications.

    • Microsoft Visual Studio

    • Microsoft Visual Studio
      • Microsoft Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft. It is used to develop computer programs for Microsoft Windows, as well as web sites, web applications and web services. Visual Studio uses Microsoft software development platforms such as Windows API, Windows Forms, Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Store and Microsoft Silverlight.
      • Microsoft Visual Studio is a strong development envoirnment to develop windows/web bespoke applications.
      • Microsoft Visual Studio is the main tool used by Digen's solutions development team for the development of bespoke applications.

    • Microsoft SQL Server

    • Microsoft SQL Server
      • Microsoft SQL Server is a relational database management system developed by Microsoft. As a database, it is a software product whose primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications, be it those on the same computer or those running on another computer across a network (including the Internet). There are at least a dozen different editions of Microsoft SQL Server aimed at different audiences and for workloads ranging from small single-machine applications to large Internet-facing applications with many concurrent users. Its primary query languages are T-SQL and ANSI SQL.
      • There is also a free SQL Server version which can be used with quite large applications with multiple users.
      • Microsoft SQL Server is a mainly used database with bespoke applications.
    • Visual Basic 6 & VBA

    • Visual Studio 6
      • Visual Basic is a third-generation event-driven programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft for its COM programming model first released in 1991. Microsoft intended Visual Basic to be relatively easy to learn and use. Visual Basic was derived from BASIC and enables the rapid application development (RAD) of graphical user interface (GUI) applications, access to databases using Data Access Objects, Remote Data Objects, or ActiveX Data Objects, and creation of ActiveX controls and objects.
      • At Digen Visual Basic is not recommended for new bespoke applications but only used for legacy language as Visual Basic is an early programming language and was finalay released in 1998. However some bespoke applications uses it so we still maintain our development skills.

    • HTML 5

    • HTML 5
      • HTML 5 is a core technology markup language of the Internet used for structuring and presenting content for the World Wide Web.
      • It is the fifth revision of the HTML standard (created in 1990 and standardized as HTML 4 as of 1997) and, as of December 2012, is a candidate recommendation of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
      • Its core aims have been to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices (web browsers, parsers, etc.).
      • HTML 5 is the main tool used for the development of bespoke web applications.
  •
    • CSS 3

    • CSS 3
      • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the look and formatting of a document written in a markup language. While most often used to style web pages and user interfaces written in HTML and XHTML, the language can be applied to any kind of XML document, including plain XML, SVG and XUL. CSS is a cornerstone specification of the web, and almost all web pages use CSS style sheets to describe their presentation.
      • Unlike CSS 2, which is a large single specification defining various features, CSS 3 is divided into several separate documents called "modules". Each module adds new capabilities or extends features defined in CSS 2, preserving backward compatibility.
    • jQuery

    • JQuery
      • jQuery is a cross-platform JavaScript library designed to simplify the client-side scripting of HTML. Used by over 60% of the 10,000 most visited websites, jQuery is the most popular JavaScript library in use today. jQuery is free, open source software, licensed under the MIT License.
      • jQuery's syntax is designed to make it easier to navigate a document, select DOM elements, create animations, handle events, and develop Ajax applications. jQuery also provides capabilities for developers to create plug-ins on top of the JavaScript library. This enables developers to create abstractions for low-level interaction and animation, advanced effects and high-level, theme-able widgets. The modular approach to the jQuery library allows the creation of powerful dynamic web pages and web applications.

    • Crystal Reports

    • Crystal Reports
      • Crystal Reports is a business intelligence application, currently marketed to small businesses by SAP SE. It is used to design and generate reports from a wide range of data sources.
      • Crystal Reports can be printed or exported in various formats like PDF and Excel.
      • Crystal Reports came integrated with Visual Studio versions prior to 2010. Crystal Reports competes with several products in the Microsoft market, such as SQL Server Reporting Services, XtraReports, ActiveReports and List & Label. Crystal Reports is also accessible outside of the Microsoft market, for instance allowing Java developers to build applications with Crystal Reports components.

    • Active Reports

    • Active Reports
      • ActiveReports is a .NET reporting tool used by developers of WinForms and ASP.NET applications. It was originally developed by Data Dynamics, which was then acquired by GrapeCity. ActiveReports is a set of components and tools that facilitates the production of reports to display data in documents and web-based formats. It is written in managed C# and allows Visual Studio programmers to leverage their knowledge of C# or Visual Basic.NET when programming with ActiveReports.
      • Similiar to Crystal Reports, Active Reports is an alternative business intelligence reporting tool used to create reports. Active Reports is also used by some of our clients.
    • AJAX

    • AJAX
      • Ajax (short for asynchronous JavaScript + XML) is a group of interrelated Web development techniques used on the client-side to create asynchronous Web applications. With Ajax, Web applications can send data to, and retrieve data from, a server asynchronously (in the background) without interfering with the display and behavior of the existing page..
      • Ajax is not a single technology, but a group of technologies. HTML and CSS can be used in combination to mark up and style information. The DOM is accessed with JavaScript to dynamically display and allow the user to interact with the information presented.

    • Microsoft Windows

    • Microsoft Windows
      • Microsoft Windows is a series of graphical interface operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Microsoft.
      • Microsoft introduced an operating environment named Windows on November 20, 1985 as a graphical operating system shell for MS-DOS in response to the growing interest in graphical user interfaces (GUIs). Microsoft Windows came to dominate the world's personal computer market with over 90% market share.
      • The most recent versions of Windows for personal computers, smartphones, server computers and embedded devices are respectively Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Embedded 8.
